1. How do I get a number to play?

Registration forms are available at participating vendors. Find a vendor close to you here.
Complete the form and deposit in a Dartmouth Rotary 4 Change coin-box.
You may start playing right away.
This number is your number for life or until you cancel your number.

2. How do I play the Dartmouth Rotary 4 Change 50/50 draw?

Read how to play here.

3. Can I use another type of sticker?

No. Please use the circular sticker provided at participating vendors.

4. Can I register a number in my child’s name?

The Nova Scotia Lottery License Section of Alcohol and Gaming requires all players be 19 years of age and older.

5. When is the draw?

The draw takes place every Tuesday around 8:00 p.m. (AST).

6. Is the draw made from the toonies?

No. All of the registered numbers are put in a drum and one number is drawn each week.

7. How long is my number in the draw?

The number is yours until you cancel it. If you wish to withdraw your number, please inform us in writing and deposit in a Dartmouth Rotary 4 Change coin-box at a participating vendor.

8. Can I play more than one number?

Yes. Complete another registration form for a new number. You may register for, and play, as many numbers as you like.

9. Is there a benefit to playing the same number several times in one week?

No. As the draw is from the registered numbers, it is better to play more than one number, not the same number multiple times.

10. What is the prize?

The prize is 50% of the amount collected. The remaining 50% is split between the designated charities and the Rotary Club of Dartmouth East for their local charitable projects. Read more about the beneficiaries here.

11. Is there a winner every week?

There is a winner each week UNLESS the number drawn was not played that week. In that case, the prize rolls over to the following week. To "play" means you deposited a toonie, with your registered number on it, in a Dartmouth Rotary 4 Change coin-box at a participating vendor.

12. Can I play in advance?

Yes. Prepay envelopes are located at participating vendor locations. Fill out the information on the envelope, enclose cash or a cheque in the envelope, seal the envelope and deposit into the Dartmouth Rotary 4 Change coin-box.

13. Can I obtain a tax receipt for any money played on the lottery?

No.

14. If I am a winner, how will I be notified?

All winners will be contacted by phone, will be listed on our website, and shared through social media.

15. If I win, will my name be published?

We will publish the name and number of the winner.

16. If I win, how do I collect my winnings?

A time will be arranged to collect the winnings during the following week at the location where the winning number was played.

17. Do I have to play at the same location every week?

No. You can play at any of the participating vendors. Find a vendor close to you here.

18. What happens if I forget my number?
